Voice Acting for Video Games

It was good to reconnect with family in the US for a couple of weeks, but now that I’m back in Taiwan. I’m eager to get back into the swing of things.

I just finished reading through a script for a video game project we are hoping to get recorded in the next few weeks. This script is a bit of a departure from the format I’m accustomed to seeing in that in lieu of characters names and parenthetical cues to how a character is to deliver the line, the script denotes speakers with character expressions from a sprite sheet. It remains to be seen if this is freeing or confusing.

Now trying to dial in where the character’s voice should be. One way to do this is to sit down over a coffee with the director and read back and forth at each other, but public transportation here in the Outer Rim isn’t what it’s cracked up to be and parking is worse. So, I wait for the YouTube playlist which will point me in the right direction. Ahh. Space Pirate. Cool, I can have fun with that. Dehydrated + Vertigo will go great with jet lag.
